The Sahara Desert discovery :
During this lovely and rich trip , you will be taken right into the Berber history and their basic and simple discovery, a life full of activities and rich Nomad customs and Traditions… Most of the Trip high lights will be unforgettable and full of souvenirs, get in direct touch with the Nomads, and yes enjoy the desert magic atmosphere throughout their eyes.
1 Day : Marrakech
Pick up at the Marrakech Menara International Airport by you Guide, then take you to the Hotel or Riad in the old Midena; where you will be having the first dinner on the beautiful terrace over viewing the city and the Koutoubia Tower nearby the famous square of Jmaa el Fna.
2 Day : Marrakech - Ouarzazate
In the morning, depart towards Ouarzazate via Tichka Pass (2260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco. The panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and magnificent landscapes and scenery are peppered by the small Berber villages typical of the region. The Anmiter Valley offers several Kasbahs along the way, including Taourirte and Ait Ben Haddou – a 16th century UNESCO site and one of the best preserved and most spectacular Kasbahs of Morocco. Ait Ben Haddou has been used in many Hollywood films, including the blockbuster film of 2000, Gladiator. Overnight in Ouarzazate and dinner in the Riad.
3 Day : Ouarzazate - Kalaat M’gouna - Dades Gorges
Depart in the morning to Kalaa M’gouna throughout out the ancient trails of a thousand Kasbahs and the off-road trails of the Rose Valley. El Kalaa is well known for the rose perfume distilled from the petals that grow in the area, hence the name “Rose Valley “. Continue to the gorges du Dades, carved out over centuries by the Dades River. The natural scenery of red and mauve rocks tower above the road. You take a visit in the canyon of the Ait Arbi village which is facing the monkey’s fingers formed over the rocky cliffs over the Southern side of the Dades valley. Overnight in the middle of the Gorges and dinner in the Hotel.
4 Day : Boumalen Dades – Tinghir - Erfoud
We head towards Erfoud passing the town of Tinghir, the Oasis, and the Gorges de Todra (300 m) cliffs forming one of the best destinations of Africa for the rock climbers from all over the world - another impressive canyon with palm groves and a traditional water reservoir. You take a walk all over the both sides of the canyon 5 Hours walk all the way to the top and then back down by a nomad family dwelling the old caves and the Berber tents. You spend the night in the palm groves fields with the great view of the Groves...
5 Day : Erfoud – Erissani - Merzouga
We visit the ancient town of Erissani, which thrived from the 8th to the 14th centuries thanks to the caravan routes of the kingdom of Sijilmassa. It was also the home of the Alaouite peoples – the early conquerors of all Morocco. Visit the oasis and the Kasbahs. Follow the road to the dunes of Erg Echbbi – the famous sand dunes of Merzouga. We recommend an evening camped in the Sahara in the nomad Berber tent - music, stars, dinner in the Sahara.
6 Day : Merzouga - Marrakech
We drive back to Marrakech the same way, night in the Hotel/Riad and dinner in the place of Jmaa El Fna
7 Day : Marrakech
After breakfast, explore Marrakech’s monuments and the historical Menara Gardens, Koutoubia Minaret, Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia Palace. Tour Marrakech along the walls of the old medina. Visit the Agdal Gardens, the new Gueliz district, the ancient medina and its markets. Close with the famous Djemaa el Fna Square. In this famous square (as large as a football stadium!) you will see sights not unlike a scene from 500 years ago: story tellers, vendors of magic potions, dancers, snake charmers, and acrobats.
Back to the Hotel/ Riad for having dinner
